The Intel project is “a huge win for Ohio,” says Brian Schottenstein of Schottenstein Real Estate Group in Columbus.
An explosion of commercial building is expected for Central Ohio, with the initial Intel plant and its suppliers drawing additional businesses into the area to support the increased infrastructure and local economy. Real estate investors and builders in Central Ohio may have their hands full in the coming years.
The move will require careful planning on behalf of local governments and arriving businesses, according to Schottenstein. “I think they’ve done a nice job with bringing Intel to this location. I know there was a lot of people involved and I got to give them a lot of credit. But now the planning really has to begin.”
